It gives us GREAT pleasure to let the Trafford Family know that our TFCY Under 13s have been playing in the Porto International Tournament this Easter weekend and finished an AMAZING THIRD PLACE in a competition made up of some quality teams from all around the world!
Playing at the Estadio Universatario de Porto, the young Trafford stars kicked off the group stage by beating Os Sandinenses 4-0. They followed this up with a 2-1 victory over none other than FC Porto’s U13s!
The Super Young Whites’ journey continued with a 3-1 victory over SC Sao Joao De Vere, then the final group game was a 1-4 defeat to Varzim SC. The results were enough to see our heroes top the group and qualify for the Semi-Final!
Here, we were sadly defeated by Boavista U13’s, but the Bronze Medal Play-off resulted in a 2-0 win over Varzim SC securing 3rd place in what was a very strong tournament.
