Longridge postponement shifts Trafford’s focus to Abbey Hey

Trafford’s scheduled NWCFL Premier Division fixture away to Longridge Town on Saturday 24 October was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

The postponement meant Trafford did not complete a first-team match during the past week. A rearranged date for the visit to Longridge has yet to be confirmed.

Trafford remain fifth in the Premier Division table, with 22 points from 10 matches. Tom Baker’s side have recorded seven wins, one draw and two defeats, scoring 23 goals and conceding 11.

Attention now turns to Saturday 31 October, when Trafford welcome Abbey Hey to Shawe View for a 3pm kick-off.

The sides have already met once this season, with Trafford recording a 3–0 league victory at Abbey Hey in August. Luke Sephton scored twice in that contest, with Dillon Edmundson also on target.

Trafford then travel to face Nelson at The Daisy Arena, Little Wembley, on Saturday 7 November. That fixture also kicks off at 3pm.

Supporters should note that the previously listed trip to Prestwich Heys on Tuesday 27 October is no longer taking place on that date. The current fixture schedule lists the match for Tuesday 24 November at 7.45pm.
