Super-sub Cian's late leveller keeps Trafford in fourth place!

Cian Donohue came off the bench to snatch a late equaliser for Trafford and keep them in fourth place in the NPL West Division.
Karl Marginson’s side played the better football throughout the game but the tricky playing surface and the long ball tactics of the home side made things very difficult for them.
Despite this, Trafford created the better chances in a scrappy first half, Rio Clegg curling a 25 yard drive after just six minutes that Cameron Belford pushed to safety.
Isaac Noble then set up Clegg following a mazy run but Belford came to his side’s rescue once more with a fine save at the foot of his right hand post.
On the half hour Rangers created their first chance when skipper James O’Neill headed a corner wide at the back post and three minutes later Trafford’s Ryley Smith squandered a great chance when he screwed his shot wide from just ten yards.
The first half ended with Trafford keeper Sam Booth finding Rio Clegg in space out on the left but once again the visiting striker was off target as his drive arced past the far post.
Just three minutes into the second half a slick move by Trafford ended in a ground shot from 15 yards by Clegg that was brilliantly saved by Belford and the Rangers custodian was in action again a minute later when he blocked a shot at point blank range from Matty Morgan.
The hosts always looked dangerous with their long passes forward and long throws into the Trafford penalty area and in the 58th minute Sam Booth produced a brave block to deny Kaiman Anderson.
However, four minutes later a rare and uncharacteristic mistake by Booth gifted Rangers the lead when he allowed a shot from the left by Joe Cuff to slip through his hands and into the goal.
Rio Clegg fired over and Brad Byrne struck a 30 yard effort that was parried by Belford as Trafford sought the equaliser whilst at the other end Sam Booth made amends for his earlier error with a fine reflex save from Joe Morley.
In the 79th minute substitutes Jack and Cian Donohue were introduced into the action and nine minutes later the latter forced home the equaliser when he arrived at the back post to bundle home a low cross by Rio Clegg.
Both teams pushed forward in search of the winner and it was Rangers who went closest in the 93rd minute when substitute Dylan Barkers saw his dipping drive pushed past the post by Sam Booth.
Manager Marginson was delighted with the point gained as, despite failing to play with their normal tempo and fluency, they showed tremendous fighting qualities to bounce back from a goal down.
