Trafford travel to the Cumbrian coast this Saturday, 4th January, for a tough Bet Victor NPL fixture versus the league leaders Workington.
The venue is Borough Park which is a 10/15 minute walk north from the town centre on the A597 opposite Tescos. We are reliably informed Tescos can be used for matchday parking. The postcode is CA14 2DT. Best route from Manchester is basically head up the M6 to Penrith then take the A66 towards Cockermouth then on to Workington. If you fancy letting the train take the strain then Workington train station is about 10 minutes walk from the stadium.
"The Reds" are of course top of the NW division having dropped from the Premier at the end of last season. Current form (last 6 games) is W4, L1, D1. They are the 2nd top goal scorers in the league and have the best overall goal difference which suggests a balanced team, good going forward and strong at the back. Last out however they were defeated 2-1 at Pontefract. This came after a four game winning streak scoring 16 goals. They also defeated Mossley 2-0 in the Integro Cup in December. Scott Allison with 11 goals is a danger man. (Thanks to Andy Glinka for the stats research)
