PREVIEW BY MARK BROOKES:
Colne visit the Home Estates Shawe View Stadium this Saturday lying in 16th place and 10 points behind Trafford. They do have an incredible 6 games in hand of Les Blancs mainly due to two fantastic cup runs in the FA Cup & FA Trophy both coming to an end at the hands of Conference North giants Gateshead & Southport respectively.
Since Trafford & Colne met at the end of November where we took the spoils 2-1 at Holt House, Colne’s league form reads P9 W2 D3 L4 F8 A12. this includes a 1-0 away victory against Kendal Town.
Games between both teams are often tight & cagey affairs, in fact the last 5 encounters (home & away) see Trafford winning 3 times by the odd goal and the other 2 games ended in stalemate.
Colne who have been active in the transfer market may have their two new signings Chris Chantler (signed from Osset United) & David Sherlock (Atherton Collieries) in their starting line-up whereas Trafford could have their new Albanian attacker Krisel Prifti in their match day squad.
