Trafford travel to Pontefract in the Bet Victor NPL this Saturday 7th March, in the first of a home & away double-header against Pontefract Collieries FC (they come to Urmston on Saturday 14th March) Kick-off 3pm.
The official team coach may have a few seats left so if you fancy travelling with Trafford FC get in touch with Graham Foxall or send us a message on this website, or on Twitter/Facebook etc. Departure time is 11.45am and the cost is £10.
If you are driving yourself, Pontefract Collieries play at Beechnut Lane, Pontefract WF8 4QE. Leave the M62 at junction 32 and take the A639 towards Pontefract. Straight on at the MacDonalds/retail park roundabout and a few hundred metres further on you’ll see Beechnut Lane on your left. The ground is right down the bottom of the lane. If you’re travelling on the Rattler, Pontefract is served by no less than THREE railway stations! “Tanshelf” is the one you want, it being about 2 minutes walk from Beechnut Lane.
Collieries are 4th in the Bet Victor NPL North West Division this season with a record of P22, W15, D3, L4, F41, A19. They haven’t played any official fixtures for nearly a month, their last outing being a 0-1 home defeat to Brighouse on Feb 8th. Their record this season is clearly good enough for a serious promotion play-off push, so Tom Baker and his team will be expecting a tough game.
To all those travelling - enjoy the day out, support our team, take care and keep an eye/ear on the weather reports. Any news on pitch condition which might affect the game going ahead will be on here, on our Twitter, and on our Facebook page. Thank you!
