New Signing – David Worrall

Trafford FC are delighted to announce a NEW signing – David Worrall!

David joins on 1/7 after his contract ends at Barrow.

A vastly experienced winger and midfielder, Worrall has racked up over 600 senior appearances in his career. Winning promotion with Millwall in 2017 and being named Port Vale club’s Player of the Year for 2019–20, also named in the 2020–21 EFL League Two Team of the Season. He helped Port Vale to win promotion out of League Two via the play-offs in 2022.

When asked about David’s arrival, manager Tom Baker said:

David Worrall comes in with real pedigree having spent most of his career in the Football League. What jumped out at me when we met was that he still has a big appetite to play and be successful, even though he’s in the latter stages of his career.

His experience will be invaluable and he will also bring real quality to the group. He can play various positions which is a real asset also.

David had plenty of options as you would expect, but has decided to come to us which is a Great compliment. He’s a player I’m sure will offer great value this season, and I’m looking forward to working with him.

Welcome to Trafford David, we’re delighted to have you here!
