New Signing – Lewis Jacklin

Trafford FC are delighted to announce a NEW signing – Lewis Jacklin!

Lewis joins after playing at Newcastle Town last season.

When asked about Lewis’ arrival, manager Tom Baker said:

Left back Lewis Jacklin played against us at tail end of the season for Newcastle Town and caught my eye from very early on in that game. He played against our Kyle Worsley, who was in really good form at the time, and I thought Lewis was outstanding that day defending one on one. Lewis is really quick, has loads of energy, and has real quality going forward, and can play off both sides. He is someone who straight away I looked at as a potential signing who I’d love to work with. I had a really good conversation with him in the summer and convinced him that we were the right place for him to continue his development. He is at a good age in his early 20s. He’s really hungry to progress and be a part of something successful. Lewis is an exciting young prospect and someone I’m really excited to work with

Welcome to Trafford Callum, we’re delighted to have you here!

New Signing – Callum Grogan

Trafford FC are delighted to announce a NEW signing – Callum Grogan!

When asked about Callum’s arrival, manager Tom Baker said:

Callum is someone I saw in my first spell as Trafford manager, when he was a young lad playing for Radcliffe Borough. I was really impressed at the time – he defended well, showing a great deal of composure. Since then he’s gone on to make a lot of appearances at NPL level and above, and played at some really good clubs – most recently Lower Breck last season, and Runcorn Linnets the season before. Callum is a player who defends aggressively. He is someone who’s a leader, and he’s got huge experience. He is a player who is going to be really important in regards to what we want to do next year. We need a real strong core of players who understand the level, lads that still want to be really successful, and Callum fits into that. He is at a good age in his late 20s, and again is someone who can kick on with us this year. He is going to be a really important player for us

Welcome to Trafford Callum, we’re delighted to have you here!

New Signing – Ryan Brooke

Trafford FC are delighted to announce a NEW signing – Ryan Brooke!

Ryan left Runcorn Linnets with 200 appearances and scoring 83 goals in that time.

When asked about Ryan’s arrival, manager Tom Baker said:

Signing Ryan Brooke is such a coup for the club. Having a quality Number 9 at any level of football is really important to any team, and Ryan has a massive pedigree at a higher level. He has an amazing goalscoring record, and he joins us from Runcorn Linnets where he is their all-time leading goal scorer and was loved at the club. He is a player and a person that I’m really looking forward to working with. I think he’s going to offer not only goals and performances on the pitch, but a really important part of the group off the pitch, in the dressing room. A really likeable guy. Someone who is going to be pivotal in what we want do this year

Welcome to Trafford Ryan, we’re delighted to have you here!

New Signing – Luke Sephton

Trafford FC are delighted to announce a NEW signing – Luke Sephton!

Luke previously played for Ramsbottom United playing 46 times & scoring 16 goals in NWCFL Premier last season.

When asked about Luke’s arrival, manager Tom Baker said:

“Really pleased that Luke has agreed to come in. He is the younger brother of Scott Sephton, so someone that we know well. Luke was a part of a successful Ramsbottom team last season, who reached the play-off semi-final, so he has great experience at the level. He plays as an attacking midfielder, and comes to Trafford with a really good goal record – he reached well into double figures last season from an attacking midfield position, which will be really important for us this season. Luke has a fine record of scoring and creating, and he’s athletically very good which is hugely important. I am really looking forward to working with him

Welcome to Trafford Luke, we’re delighted to have you here!

Trafford FC Retained List 2026/27

Trafford FC can confirm the following players have been retained ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Manager Tom Baker on the squad retained players

Really happy to get most of last seasons squad to commit to be a part of the rebuild and what we want to do moving forward next season. As every football club knows you’re always going lose a few players and I’m pleased to say that there’s only a couple of players that have decided to move on and they’ve done that for their own reasons and that’s always to be expected. After the loan lads left we’ve managed to get commitment from quite a few from last year’s squad, including club captain Harry Norris.

Lots of positives moving forward with a couple more of players from last season in conversation and we will say more on those in due course.

The club is pleased to confirm that the following players remain part of the first-team squad:

Retained players

  • Harry Norris
  • Jack Higginbottom
  • Sean Higgins
  • Brad Byrne
  • Scott Sephton
  • Mackena Bradshaw
  • Kyle Worsley
  • Bile Ahmed
  • George Unsworth
  • Prosper Imar

Further squad updates will be announced in due course as preparations continue for the new campaign.

Tom also commented on the future of the squad

Constant conversations going on with new players as we are looking to recruit and bring in new signings for next season, it’s always a difficult time because players are keeping their options open and speaking to various clubs and it’s still technically quite early doors butI have had some really good and positive conversations.

I have commitment from a few players already so in we will announce those in due course. I am looking forward to announcing some new arrivals In in the coming weeks

Everyone at Trafford FC would like to thank supporters for their continued backing and looking forward to the 2026/27 season.
